This was a new event for me. I had never even heard of it when I was invited, along with my friend Lara to race on Unicorn, the Creakmore 36.

It is a 2 day event which begins just north of the Lake Worth inlet and finishes at the Port St. Lucie inlet and races back the next day. Saturday's start is a Pursuit race and Sunday's is a traditional start.

The Hutchinson Island Marriott Hotel and Marina is close to where we finish and some of us made reservations for the night in the hotel. We enjoyed the pool and bar there. I've become a spoiled sailor! No sleeping on crowded boats without a/c for me anymore if it can be avoided!
