Grenadines 2003

Early in January I had an E-mail from Chris. Since we were deep into the planning for Key West Race Week, this was not unusual, however the subject line of this one said "Caribbean on a 40' Yacht". Needless to say I opened it immediately to see that he and his wife Georgie were inviting me to join them and their 2 kids, Amber and Jamie, on a cruising vacation in the Grenadines. It took me about 10 seconds to reply with an excited "YES"!!

Rather than write a long story, I'll just say, we sailed from St. Vincent (down at Latitude 13º 15.00) on a Sun Odyssey 40 from Sunsail to Bequia, Canouan, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, Union Island, Petit St. Vincent, and Petit Martinique (Latitude 12º 31.50). We stopped to snorkel at nearly every Island and had dinner ashore most nights....did a bit of sightseeing as well. Now I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story.
