Bandana, with a crew of ten, went out for a glorius day on the water. We had winds from the West at 15-25 and the course was Start, at a mark about a mile off Ft. Lauderdale beach. Sail up and round the Hillsboro Inlet Sea bouy and back. A rated distance of 17 nm.

15 boats competed, 8 in our class. Unfortunately, with so few boats, there was not a separate class for the mulithulls and with the beam reach, it was their day, but Bandana did well. We took third in class behind the 2 multihulls, and were the first place Monohull.

The lovely yacht shown above is Jasmine, a Little Harbor 54 and is the boat that won the Fort Lauderdale to Charleston race last year. As you can see, we passed her and that's her off our hip in the background. We hope to see her in that same position behind us in this years Charleston race at the end of this month!
